LAUGHING BUDDHA YOGA STUDIO JOINS UPSCALE TREK TO GRUBB PROPERTIES’ MORRISON

CHARLOTTE, NC – March 30, 2007 - Grubb Properties and Casto Lifestyle Properties, partners in the emerging mixed-use neighborhood of Morrison in South Park, today announced that Laughing Buddha Yoga Studio will open at Morrison this April in a 2383 square foot retail space beside successful startup Winestore and across the street from the coming Earthfare gourmet grocer.
Laughing Buddha Yoga will “…cater to the yogi who values a holistic workout environment that includes fresh air, spacious locker rooms, and ample parking” says owner/partner Dawn Hinshaw. Hinshaw and Hilary Nelson, both well-known Charlotte yoga instructors, will lead Laughing Buddha’s range of classes and are partners in the venture with Garland Hughes & Brad Murr. Studio classes will include: FUSION (a Laughing Buddha original and exclusive), Hot Yoga, Power Yoga, Power Lunch and Yoga Basic classes for adults. A Little Yogis program for boys & girls aged 5-9, and Tween Yoga for teens aged 10-14, will also be offered.
Hinshaw noted that the Morrison space will allow for advantages not common to typical yoga studios. “Our special HVAC system will refresh the studio with clean air every four minutes, providing clients with a more healthy, organic environment to practice their yoga. Plus, we’ll have private showers, 20 lockers in the spacious changing areas, and access to several hundred deck parking spaces when Earthfare opens this summer. Our students are going to love this new studio as well as the “one stop shopping” aspect of Morrison.”
