GRUBB PROPERTIES ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR NON-PROFIT “CIRCLE OF TREES 2007” ILLUMINATION CEREMONY AT MORRISON

On Wednesday, November 14, eight local non-profit community organizations will join Grubb Properties at its Morrison neighborhood in South Park to celebrate the first annual “Circle of Trees 2007” with an Illumination Ceremony beginning at 6:00pm.

Eight holiday trees – each one decorated by staff, volunteers and beneficiaries of a different community organization – will encircle Morrison’s central traffic roundabout.  Plaques at each tree will highlight the identity and mission of each organization, and all Morrison-related Web sites (see below) will feature photos of the trees, organizational mission statements, links to the non-profits’ own Web sites, and online pledge opportunities for year-end donations.

The Illumination Ceremony will include live seasonal music, refreshments, brief statements from each participating non-profit, and a bagpiper-led candlelight procession along Governor Morrison Street to the Circle of Trees.  The official Illumination will take place at 6:30pm.

From the Illumination Ceremony through December 31, 2007, every merchant at Morrison will also have “Circle of Trees Pledge Cards” that shoppers can use to make pledge commitments to the community organizations of their choice.

Trees will remain lit nightly throughout the holiday season.
