American Cancer Society Recognizes Grubb Properties For Benefit Golf Tournament Donation

Grubb Properties was honored today by the American Cancer Society for its recent fundraising golf tournament on the Old North State Course at Uwharrie Point.  The event- Grubb Properties' 1st Annual Charity Golf Invitational - raised over $14,000 in donations from ten corporate sponsors and over 120 real estate brokers and professionals from the Charlotte and Triangle areas.

Corporate sponsors included Little Diversified Architectural Consulting, Rodgers Builders, Michael Gallis & Associates, Kennedy Covington, The McAllister Group, The Budd Group, Charlotte Business Journal and Grubb's Sterling Regency and Carolina Place offices.

"Today, we'd like to publicly thank all of the people at Grubb Properties for hosting such a first-class tournament for our benefit," Lisa Ludwig of the American Cancer Society said.  "Our work depends in large part on this kind of support from the business community and we want to applaud and recognize their efforts on behalf of such an important cause."

Clay Grubb, president of Grubb Properties, accepted the award along with Jonathan Nance and Sal Cammarata, director and senior vice president of Grubb's retail and commercial office divisions, respectively.

"First of all, we're just so proud to support the important work being done by the American Cancer Society," Grubb said.  "I want to commend Jonathan and Sal for creating such a fine event and I want to thank all the brokers and sponsors and the great team at Uwharrie Point whose participation made this donation possible.  We're already looking forward to an even more successful 2nd Annual Invitational coming this October."
