We are just under one year away from seeing the initial units deliver at our first Denver area multifamily community, Link Apartments℠ Fitz.
This project exemplifies Grubb Properties’ focus on developing in locations that are near major fixed employers and have transit options. Link Apartments℠ Fitz is located catty-corner to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, one of the largest employment hubs in the Denver area. Home to three major hospitals – UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and the VA hospital – along with the 124-acre Fitzsimons Innovation Community, and commercial and lab space, the campus represents a major resilient employment center.
Link Apartments℠ Fitz will add 405 units of essential housing to Aurora to serve these workers, students, and others who want to live in this growing community. Our community will emphasize walkable design and connectivity, with easy access to the Denver light rail and the future bus rapid transit system.
The community is also near the Stanley Marketplace, a local retail and restaurant hub with more than 50 independently owned Colorado businesses.
This summer, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors were hard at work on the parking decks and Building C, while 90% of the underground storm system was completed. In other areas of the site, workers were installing footings, cast-in-place columns shear walls, and interior ribs.
The first units at Link Apartments℠ Fitz are projected to be delivered late in the second quarter of 2023.
Link Apartments℠ Fitz is part of Grubb Properties' Link Apartments OZ REIT, a Qualified Opportunity Fund that focuses on adding essential housing to under-invested neighborhoods. Link OZ REIT has 19 properties in resilient and high-growth markets nationwide, including New York City, Los Angeles, Denver and Charlotte.
