Grubb Properties Builds on Its Partnership with Habitat for Humanity
Grubb Properties team members framed interior walls, installed metal fascia trim, and painted doors and windowsills at several Habitat for Humanity houses in our communities as part of the 2025 Grubb Giving Project.
These hands-on efforts to build and repair affordable homes reflect our longstanding partnership with Habitat for Humanity and our shared commitment to solving America’s housing crisis. Grubb Properties encourages and enables all team members to give back to their local communities by providing 48 hours of paid time off for volunteering annually. Many team members choose to use this time volunteering with company-supported build days with Habitat for Humanity.
“Giving back is such a big part of who we are at Grubb Properties,” says Melissa Needham, co-chair of the Grubb Giving Committee and Grubb Properties’ associate director of talent acquisition. “One of our guiding principles is creating community, and Habitat is one of the clearest ways I see that in action. Given how tough it’s become for many families to find stable, affordable and safe housing, it means a lot that our volunteer work connects so closely to our company’s purpose.”
Since 2018, Grubb Properties and our business partners have sponsored and built homes with Habitat for Humanity in Winston-Salem, Chapel Hill, Charlotte, and Lexington in North Carolina, as well as in Greenville, South Carolina, and Atlanta, Georgia.
We are grateful for all our team members and partners who have dedicated time and energy to our Habitat for Humanity chapters.
