Future of Essential Housing

Welcome to the Future of Essential Housing

A Welcome Note from Clay Grubb, CEO

Welcome to the Grubb Properties’ Essential Housing Blog. We’re introducing this new feature to our website in order to bring you closer to the people, ideas, and opinions that drive Grubb Properties. In addition to news about our Link ApartmentsSM developments, we want to use this space to offer our perspectives on current events impacting essential housing.

Bridging the gap between affordable and luxury housing, essential housing serves those who earn between 60% and 140% of area median income (AMI). This long-neglected segment of the market is facing even steeper challenges as the nation emerges from the pandemic, as rising construction costs have slowed new inventory. Finding affordable housing in urban, accessible locations has never been more difficult, particularly for Millennials and Gen Z.

Essential Housing Investment

For investors, essential housing provides an immediate opportunity to participate in an underserved, resilient asset class in urban markets throughout the United States.

Grubb Properties is dedicated to addressing this essential housing shortage. We view this not only as good business but also as a moral imperative.

We hope you enjoy this blog, and if you want to keep up on the stories we post, we welcome you to subscribe below, and we’re always looking for feedback – if there are topics you’d like to see us address or questions you’d like to see answered, please reach out essentialhousing@grubbproperties.com.

Thank you for your continued support!
